Anaesthesia Makes Me Go Blurp

Endoscopies.  So much fanfare for something, really, so minor.  Had mine today.  Second one in four years.  Apparently they found something this time.  Nothing serious at the moment but perhaps an answer to my god awful stomach problems.  I just hope whatever is it they found is enough because if it isn’t . . . the next procedure they want to do makes me gag.  To keep it simple and let you figure out the disgusting parts, it involves a tubular monitor, my nose, my throat, my stomach and 24 hours.  *shudder*

An endoscopy really isn’t a big deal.  I’ve had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy and those are much, much worse.  This was nothing.  But anaesthesia and I are not the best of friends.  The first dose was the fuzzy one (above and beyond the fact that I wasn’t wearing my glasses) and the second was the night-night time one.  I woke up in recovery and it turned out I was sleeping for an hour.  I still didn’t want to wake up.

But along with the hours worth of groggy came all the color in my body dropping through my feet and lovely, lovely nausea.  Fun.  I came home and slept until two thirty and I’m still a little sluggish from the drugs.  And just a bit nauseous.  The food helped (woke up at 2:30 and hadn’t eaten since yesterday evening) but if I move around too much, the floppy stomach comes back.

So that’s my day.  Hopefully I can get something a little more productive in terms of posts up tomorrow.  At the latest Saturday.  And note to self: just let the damn phone ring instead of “rushing” to get it.  *burp*

I hope you you’re getting better and that your stomach is on the mend. I’ve had stomach probs before(though minor)and they were not pleasant. Just thinking about endoscopies or anything they stick inside to check out one’s innards make me shudder.

This is the second time I’m sending this since my computer is being a very big brat, and the reason why I haven’t been on. For no apparent reason, our browser is kicking us off after less than 10 minutes! It’s driving me nuts.

Eh, the stomach isn’t better or worse. Just more of the same. This was my second endoscopy so I knew what I was getting into although I think the anesthesia made me feel worse this time around.

And I hope you get your computer fixed soon, Squid! That’d definitely irritate me.
