NaNo Update–I think I’m down to around 3,000 words needed to catch up, roughly.  Better than 7,000.  And it’d be more if I didn’t get the six hour half-flu of death last night.  You know, people don’t believe me when I tell them I only get half of the crappy bugs that go around offices.  I had chills so bad my teeth were chattering, I had a fever, was nauseus for way too many hours without actually throwing up and my skin hurt.  I was in bed at around 8 last night.  I woke up around 3:30 in the morning completely drenched.  By the time my alarm actually went off, I was completely fine.  If that’s not a freak half flu, I don’t know what is.

Originally I thought it was something I ate.  It was home fried chicken (read: more healthy, fried in olive oil) for dinner and my body doesn’t really like fried food but this definitely went something beyond that.  Blech.  But at least I was able to catch up a decent amount.

So now it’s cram time.  I have seven days, including today, to get to 50,000 and I’m hovering somewhere around 35,000 or 36,000.  Doable but whether my insanity remains intact or not, I have no idea.  I’m hoping I hit that goal because if I don’t, it’ll mean I’ll miss it by a ridiculously small amount of words and I might have to kick my own ass if that happens.
